Spider Man 3
So this pic is a quick little study in response to seeing Spider Man 3. I actually thought it was an enjoyable movie, although the faithfulness to the comic was pretty shoddy. FX were good, but the Venom subplot was probably the story's weakest link. So, here's Spidey vs. Venom the way I would have done it. Hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend!
Separated at Birth?
In about 1997-8, when I was in school, I created a cartoon idea called "Sprouts". It was on my homepage for a while, until I pulled it off in 2005. Above you see an image of the cartoon, centered around these little grass people who assist nature and teach kids important lessons about the environment. The second image is a comparison between the Sprouts logo I created 10 years ago and a recent logo from a Los Angeles clothing store. I'm not saying they plagiarized, but the similarities are pretty amazing.

Jabba likes what he sees...
Howdy folks. Back with another update. 2 more Star Wars Bubbleheads for your viewing pleasure: Slave Leia and Jabba. Everyone says Leia in the gold bikini is the hottest outfit, but you know, honestly, I think she looks best in that white jumpsuit she wore on Hoth. I know I'm probably in the minority here, but that whole flirty, "I'd just as soon kiss a wookie" thing was pretty hot.
God, I'm such a dork.

Polar Playmates
Here's a sneak peak at a new project my friend/super talented writer Joseph Schneider and I are working on. It's called 'Polar Playmates' and it's a cartoon centering around the adventures of a little alien who, after crash landing in the artic, gets adopted by a family of polar bears. It's aimed squarely at pre-schoolers, so it'll be all sorts of cute animal goodness. Stay tuned for more updates on what will be a fantastic project!
Wacky Races
Here's a project I just finished recently. I colored this video game cover for 'Wacky Races'. If you look closely, you can see it's a multi-region game, about to be released in Europe. The line art was done by my very talented friend Patrick Owsley.
Jeff's Cold Hard
Had a great surprise this morning. Every day I check Cold Hard Flash for all my Flash animation news and clips and today my cartoon 'Superfiends' made it on the blog. I'd like to give a major thank you to the guy behind Cold Hard: Aaron Simpson. Now go give his site some lovin'!

Six Point Harness
As a special mention, I'd like to thank Six Point Harness animation studios. They held a class this weekend teaching Flash animation to anyone that was lucky enough to be selected. Eric Pringle, veteran animator of "Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends" was on hand to instruct the class. Also lecturing on current Flash animation were Brendan Burch of Six Point/Tire Fire Films (which you can check out here, Aaron Simpson of Cold Hard Flash Fame, and Chris Prynoski of Titmouse animation. There was free food and drink, T-shirt give aways, special guests and a hands on demo. My head nearly exploded from the amount of info given, but it was a great intro to Flash, and I hope to be working alongside these guys someday.
SuperFiends
Got a special update today. I don't know how many of you have seen this, but this 'SuperFiends' cartoon was created last year as part of a series pitch. Created by myself and my good buddy Joeseph Schnieder, the series was more or less an examination of what Supervillians would be like in the real world, dealing with real problems, logistical and emotional. In the video, Lord Drakor, the "Scourge of Kalgon" (think Doctor Doom) is attempting to meet his villainous cohorts with the final ingredient they need to take over the world. Unfortunately, it was misplaced by the airport.
SEE how Drakor deals with the uppity clerk! GASP at the low quality animation! TELL your friends to favorite this video on YouTube!
If you are interested in finding out more about this series proposal, you can read character bios, series concept, and see a ton of pre-production art here.

Han Solo...
...the early years. Another classic Star Wars character done as a Bubblehead. Star Wars has always been a big part of my life. As a kid, looking through the classic concept illustrations by Ralph McQuarrie made me want to be an artist.
This is fun. I'd like to keep doing some more Star Wars characters for ya...stay tuned!

My first blog
This is the first entry in an ongoing blog showcasing some of my work. Thanks for stopping by. This first post is in honor of the 30th anniversary of Star Wars. I thought I'd get the ball rolling with a little Luke Skywalker done in my "Bubblehead" style. Although, to be fair, this style has gone through a bit of adjustment since I read Cartoon Modern and got the retro bug.
Thanks again for reading, and bookmark this page, as there will be lots of new fun artwork coming soon!
