30 Day Drawing Challenge Day 15
Day 15- "President". With all the revisionist Abraham Lincoln craziness going on right now, here's my take. Bonus points if you can spot the reference to Back to the Future.

30 Day Drawing Challenge Day 14
Day 14- "Favorite Birthday Gift." My favorite birthday gift had to be the time I got a Mogwai from Chewie, Yoda, and ET on my 8th birthday. SIGH, I wish. <:-(

30 Day Drawing Challenge Day 13
Day 13- "How you would want to be executed." What better way to check out than getting your heart ripped out by Mola Ram, then thrown into a volcano as a human sacrifice to Kali? Well, there are probably lots of better ways, but this is what I drew.

Classics of Crap Volume 41- Pod People
If you are a fan of MST3K, you have likely heard of Pod People. Originally conceived as a straight horror movie about an angry alien slaughtering a group teens in the woods (ho-hum), but in the wake of the success of Spielberg's E.T, the film was later recut to include scenes of a kind alien befriending a boy in the most shameless E.T. rip off ever until Mac & Me premiered 4 years later. The 'cute' alien is called Trumpy, and he has the magical ability to levitate and animate objects around him, stop-motion style. What frivolity! Anyway, the movie is mostly famous for its immortal tagline, "It Stinks", uttered by bad movie mainstay Ian Sera. I wouldn't try watching this movie without the MST commentary, it's just too dull. Trumpy's wild antics are definitely the highlight.

30 Day Drawing Challenge Day 9
Day 9- "You as a Superhero" While I was tempted to draw myself as one of my favorites, like Superman or Batman, I had a hankering to draw myself as Hellboy fighting a giant brain apelike monster. I am trying out some different photoshop painting techniques, and while I am still pretty new at it, I'm happy with the progress so far.

30 Day Drawing Challenge Day 7
Day 7: "Cowboy" For this, I chose to draw my favorite western of all time. Sergio Leone's The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. It's an awesome movie, and if you haven't seen it, check it out!

30 Day Challenge Day 4-5
Day 4- A dream I had. I seem to have dreams where I'm falling quite often, so I tried to depict that. Day 5 is "Something Green". I thought of a green boat. And who should be in said boat? Why, Raiders of the Lost Ark's own Toht of course!
The Dark Knight
In anticipation of the Dark Knight returning to theaters, here's a little tribute to just a few of the memorable looks of the Batman. There are so many versions I would have liked to tackle, like the Bruce Timm animated look, but there was only space for 5. Maybe in the future I will do an expanded evolution to draw more of Batman's famous movie looks.

30 Day Drawing Challenge Day 3
"What you had for lunch". I am usually vegetarian, but once in a rare while I will treat myself to some delicious monkey brains. MMMMM!

Classics of Crap Volume 40: The Apple
Hi guys, thanks for checking out another episode of Classics of Crap. Today's movie is the legendary futuristic-disco-acid-trip-rock opera disaster The Apple. Telling the story of two innocent kids, Bibi and Alphie, as they find their way from singing sweet folk music to falling under the spell of the devilish Mr. Boogalow, as he uses fame to corrupt them until they find redemption with a group of hippies and walk(?) into heaven(!). I'm really not sure what the movie is all about, but I'll tell you this, watching it was absolutely hilarious. In the world of the movie, the future is 1994, where everyone wears shiny fabrics and hologram stickers on their foreheads. The biblical allegory comparing Bibi and Alphie to Adam and Eve as they take a bite of the Fame Apple, was childishly simple. I don't know if this is 100% accurate, but supposedly at the premiere of the movie, they gave out LP's of the soundtrack to the moviegoers, who hated the film so much, they took to throwing the records at the screen. The Apple can be seen occasionally at midnight movie screenings around the country and is a cult film classic. Your mileage may vary, depending on how much you like bad musicals.
Jack Attack
The Evolution of Jack Nicholson. Jack is one of my all time favorite actors, and it was hard to just pick 5 of my favorite performances. This is the third of my "Evolutions" pictures. I am having fun making these, and I hope you guys dig them!

Classics of Crap Volume 39- Birdemic 2
Hey guys! Instead of my usual Classics of Crap this week, I thought I would do a little something different. This is an illustration commissioned by the producers who saw my earlier Birdemic art here. This new art was made into an exclusive print to promote the, as of this post, unreleased movie. I'm including it as an honorary Classic of Crap, because, come on, how could this movie be anything but an awesome/awful disaster? If you haven't seen the original Birdemic, it's one of the best "So bad it's good" movies ever. Fingers crossed that lighting will strike twice! (Bonus pic of the cast of Birdemic 2 signing copies of my print at a promotional event in Hollywood.)
